Kikyo and Me
By: Kikyo1027
A rewrite of Annabel Lee by Edgar Allen Poe
It was many years ago
In a place by the sea
There lived a love you may know
Between Kikyo and me
And this girl she lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved by me
I was a child and she was a child
In this place by the sea
But we loved with a love that was more than love
My Kikyo and me
With such a love that Onigumo
Envied her and me
And this was a reason long ago
In this place by the sea
A wind bore out a cloud, chilling poor Kikyo and me
So that Naraku came
And bore her away from me
He shut her up in a miasma
In this place by the sea
Onigumo, not so happy in hell,
Went envying her and me
Yes- That was the reason ( as all men know, In this place by the sea)
That the cloud came out of the wind that night
Chilling and killing poor Kikyo and me
But our love It was stronger
By far than the love
Of those older than we
Of many far wiser than we
And neither the angels in heaven
Nor the demons down under the sea
Can ever separate our souls
The souls of Kikyo and me
For the moon never beams without bringing me dreams
Of sweet Kikyo and me
And the stars never rise as we look into each others eyes
The eyes of Kikyo and me
And so all night
I lie down by the side
Of my darling
My beloved
My life
And my bride
In the miasma by the sea
Me and her dying
My Kikyo and me
