Hiei was filled with regret. His sister was looking for him, although she didn't know it. Yukina just wandered off in search for the person who was already in front of her.

He wondered what made him think that lying to his sister would be a good idea. Now instead of finding who she has been looking for all of these years, Yukina will travel the world and never find peace for her lost brother when, in fact, her brother had been with her for all this time.

Hiei was in a park, in his favorite place to be, in a tree. He looked down on the helpless mortal world and wondered. Should he tell her of his hidden secret he has kept for all these years?

Hiei thought of the good and bad aspects of this choice.

The good: Yukina would have finally found her sibling and would be relieved. She would never have to worry about him again.

The bad: She would be ashamed of her brother for lying to her in the first place. And what if Yukina never really liked him?

Timing was critical as he saw Yukina walk slowly down the path under the tree. Should he? Shouldn't he? It seemed like an eternity before the answer came clear to him.

He jumped gracefully of the limb he was sitting on and Yukina stopped in front of him.

"Mister Hiei? What are you doing here?" she said.

Hiei stared at her for a moment. After this, would Yukina's soft blue eyes be filled with happiness or tears? Will her soul be lifted or sunken? Hiei hesitated.

"Yukina," Hiei said, after the long pause.

"Yes?" Yukina said. Her patience was never broken after Hiei's hesitation.

"I have to tell you something…"

"What, Mister Hiei?"

He struggled for the right words. It would take forever.

"I have to…er…tell you something," Yukina never lost interest, even with the unnecessary repetition.

He stuttered and lost track of the situation. It would take forever.

"I have to say something…it's important…yeah…"

He felt like his brain was going into implode and burn in his skull.

"Really important…so pay attention…"

The cogs of Hiei's mind wouldn't mesh.

"Er…so here it…goes…I geuss…"

The stress was making his brain cells spontaneously combust.

"It is…it is…it is…"

Hiei couldn't stand it anymore.

"It is!"

"Hiei! Your head is on fire!" Yukina exclaimed.

"It is…it is… it is…it is?"

Hiei smelt smoke and, sure enough, his head felt very, very, very, very hot.

"BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRT!" Hiei said.

Just then, a random man in uniform walked over to the flaming Hiei. He pulled out a hammer and whacked Hiei's head several times. A spring and several gears fell out of his skull.

"Yep," said the man, "He's busted."

The man put Hiei on a cart.

"He needs to get fixed," he said to Yukina.

"But he was just telling me something!" Yukina said.

"Sorry," the man said and rolled Hiei away.

Hiei tried to tell Yukina but all that came out was "BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPT!"

DAMMIT! Hiei thought, WHY DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING!
