It's times like these that Edo Phoenix regretted coming to Duel Academy. He despised Family Night. Everyone was so... HAPPY! He sighed as he stayed hidden in the background.
They say justice will prevail,
that we're all protected by the law
You told me criminals would always be punished but for what cause?
Only to lose you to one.
Edo looked on as each one of his so-called friends introduced family members to each one of their friends, completely forgetting him. It was like he didn't even exist.

He looked on as Judai introduced his parents to Johan, Asuka met Ryo's parents and Sho even met Manyoume's folks. He started backing away when he backed into some people. He looked up into blue eyes, colder than his own.
"Seto Kaiba?" He said. Seto looked to his right as Yugi Motou walked over to him. The tri colored haired male smiled as he got up on his tiptoes and kissed him. Edo stared.
"Shouldn't you be out there?" Yugi asked.
"I... I was just leaving. " Edo left quickly, failing to see the concerned looks he was getting not only from the pros, but his friends.
I never wanted you to leave.
Time's just cruel.
I never wanted to see you go.
But the pain is too much.
Why did it have to happen?

and at times like this...
I wish I was with you.
And I don't care if I end up dead.
