Most of the night Shizuru watched a smiling-in-her-sleep Natsuki, tenderly tracing her fingers down the side of lover's face.

Natsuki tossed the ball to her young daughter out in their large backyard, while Shizuru leaned against the porch railing, and watched her small family play with a soft smile on her face.

Natsuki gently wiped the sweat from her sick 3-year-old's forehead, Natsuki's own forehead creased with worry.

The doctor gave their little one a clean bill of health, and Shizuru and Natsuki hugged their child in happy relief.

The small family went to the zoo to celebrate their daughter's renewed health, and they all ended up throwing peanuts at the elephants for the rest of the day.

Natsuki shouted at Shizuru in anger, and the brunette shouted back in equal anger, before breaking down in upset tears.

Natsuki walked slowly forward and hesitantly...gently...tugged her crying wife into her arms, whispering guilt-filled apologies tenderly into Shizuru's ear.

Shizuru and Natsuki stepped back, their arms wrapped tightly around each other, and happily admired their brand-new home.

Natsuki carefully held up a spoon full of wiggly jello, and popped the spoon into the mouth of her happily-giggling daughter.

Icecream always tasted sweeter when shared, and Shizuru made sure to share her icecream by dabbing a bit on Natsuki's pert nose, and then nibbling and licking it off the dark-haired woman's now-heavily-blushing face.
