A very short drabble in which Rory has a few questions for the Doctor after the resolution of the story from A Good Man Goes To War.
SPOILERS for that episode... in case you didn't guess.
"Um, Doctor."
The Doctor span around at the sound of his name, and grinned when he saw who had called it. "Rory the Roman!" He looked down at what Rory was wearing then back up to his face, "Not Roman. You changed? But I like the centurion look. Ah well. And where is Mrs Pond. Popping little Melody to sleep?"
The other man grimaced "About that actually. Her. About her. I-" He paused and the Doctor quirked an eyebrow waiting for him to continue, "River is Melody?"
"Yes."
Rory frowned, "So she is my daughter?"
"Absolutely. How do you feel about that by the way cause she's very cool. What do you kids say? Badass?" He waved his hands in excitement and threw one arm around Rory's shoulders. "But yes River is Melody and so is your and Amy's daughter. Not quite worked out all the practicalities of this yet but ," He grinned, "I'm sure we'll figure it out soon enough."
Wandering away, Rory lent his back on the rail around the tardis controls and looked steadily at the Doctor. "You've kissed River."
"I know. It was all very strange. Apparently we've kissed many times and, oh." The Doctor stopped and turned to Rory, "Oh. Yes."
"You've kissed River who you just confirmed to be Melody who is also my daughter."
This was the point when Amy decided to wander into the control room, "That's one baby asleep in her crib. Alright boys what have you been up to."
The Doctor busied himself with flipping levers and pushing buttons, and Amy looked to Rory with a puzzled expression. He chuckled and pulled her into a hug, "Just getting him to explain the whole River/Melody thing. Don't worry about it."
