A/N: A very short one-shot abt Gavy. :) ^-^
Gajeel and Levy were taking a normal walk down the road, it being the Fairy Tail recycle event, where Gajeel and Levy were a part; and Gajeel stealthily ate all the iron and steel unnoticed, and Levy secretly hid all the tattered books and torn covers to be recycled. They were just helping out with a pile of other stuff, when Levy started mumbling something under her breath, something which Gajeel mistook to be "ironhead".
He glanced down at the solid script mage, busy collecting feathers.
"Did you say something?" Gajeel asked, clearing his throat uneasily.
"Do I ever cross your mind?" was all Levy asked, in rather flat tone.
Gajeel turned away his head and muttered. "No."
"Do you l-like me?" Levy spluttered.
"No." was Gajeel's answer.
"Do you want me?" Levy asked, this time pouting.
"No." Gajeel answered.
Levy looked shattered at his reply, but nevertheless she continued with a little hope.
"Would you cry if I left...?" she asked eagerly.
"No." Gajeel repeated again.
"Would you live for me?" she continued, yearning for a positive reply.
"No." Gajeel said.
"Would you do anything for me?" Levy asked, desperately.
"No." Gajeel replied, irritated now.
"Choose - Me or your life? !" Levy spurted out, almost as if in exasperation.
"My life." Gajeel answered, nonchalantly.
Levy's eyes glistened with tears at his last sentence. She ran away in shock and pain, dropping her feathers.
Not long after, Gajeel realised his mistake and ran after her to apologize.
"Levs..." he called out, and Levy blushed at the nickname he had given her.
He had opened his mouth to say and those words just came:
"The reason you never cross my mind is because you're always on my mind!"
"The reason why I don't like you is because I love you."
"The reason why I don't want you is because I need you."
"The reason why I wouldn't cry if you left is because I would die if you left!"
"The reason why I wouldn't live for you is because I would die for you."
"The reason why I'm not willing to do anything for you is because I would do everything for you."
"The reason I chose my life is because you ARE my life!"
As he finished, he panted for breath. Levy who fixed him in a gaze of admiration and proud tears now welling up in her eyes at the confession, ran to hug him tightly. As she released the hug, Gajeel gave him her trademark smirk.
"Its hard to find someone as small as you! So, always stay by my side." he remarked.
"Yes, I will." Levy answered, with a bright smile.
That was no excuse for them to kiss.
