A Ten/Rose one-shot that may evolve into an actual story with a plotline. This is my first stab at writing something like this, so please bear with me! Don't forget to review! :D

Of course I don't own Doctor Who or any of the characters within. Are you crazy?!

...

Darkness.

That was the first thing Rose saw in the dream.

She didn't know where she was. All she knew that she was lost, and the Doctor was nowhere to be found. She was scared but determined to get out of there before -

And then, bang.

She saw a kind of explosion, something like the end of the world, which was something she wished she'd never have to see again. And then -

Are you my mummy?

She saw the child, the gas-mask kid who'd scared her to death. And then -

The werewolf, the one she'd encountered in 19th century London. And then -

A gold light.

She'd absorbed the heart of the TARDIS to save the Doctor, her Doctor. And how he'd saved her, that slow, sweet kiss that transferred the vortex from her to him. How he'd suddenly regenerated -

"DOCTOR!" Rose found herself screaming herself awake in the middle of the night. Realizing her surroundings, she calmed down a little. She was fine. The Doctor was fine. They were in the TARDIS.

"Rose?!" The Doctor asked in alarm, bounding into her room. "Are you okay?!"

"I'm fine," she replied, embarrassed that she was in Hello Kitty pajama pants and a torn-up old T-shirt under the covers. "Bloody nightmares, that's all."

The Doctor sat on the edge of her bed, a concerned look spreading itself across his face as the TARDIS hummed in the background. "Are you sure you're okay?"

Rose laughed weakly. "I'll be fine," she insisted.

The Doctor looked at her with those big, sad brown eyes that made her melt every time she looked at him. "Your nightmares," he said softly. "Tell me about them."

Rose was hesitant at first, but she finally broke down and told him everything. She trusted him with her life - why not a few nightmares?

After she was done telling him about everything that plagued her dreams at night, he suddenly hugged her, catching her off guard.

"I'm sorry," he mumbled into her hair. "This is all my fault."

Rose wasn't complaining about the hug. She was in fact quite enjoying it. She loved the feel of his soft, crazy hair, the way his double heartbeat drummed against her own. She could stay in this position forever and ever. "How is it your fault, mate?" She asked, laughing. He didn't answer, holding her closer.

"Stay with me," she whispered. She didn't know why she'd suddenly said that. She was tired, she wanted comfort, and who was there to give better comfort than her Doctor? She expected him to say no, but instead, he said, "Okay."

He lay down on Rose's small single bed, opening his arms for her to fall into them. She didn't need to be asked twice.

As she lay there drowsily in the Doctor's arms, she knew she wouldn't have any more nightmares tonight.

...

So, what do you think? Should I continue or leave it as a one-shot? Please review and tell me your thoughts! :D
