Five things Anakin accidentally leaves at Padmé's place.

(And the events that follow)

1: His Com Link

He woke in a daze. Light filled the room from the open blinds and he realized his belongings were spread amongst the room.

His outer tunic hung across the back of the couch.

His belt laying with his lightsaber, thankfully, still holstered.

His boots by the door.

He looked over his side to realize the thing he treasured the most, curled up against his arm, fast asleep.

He knew he had to go, the Temple would soon be bustling with life of young and old Jedi alike, and his absence would not go unnoticed.

He slipped out of bed and quickly gathered his things, dressing himself like the Jedi he was and tiptoed out the door, not before giving his sleeping wife a kiss on the forehead.

When he arrived at the temple, he wandered slowly. Wondering why the morning had gone so slow. Without one word to him from Obi Wan. Strange.

It wasn't long until he decided to seek out his former master himself. Along the way, he found a group of younglings, playing in the courtyard, and a small smile grew on his face.

One of the older ones, who seemed to supervising it all, walked slowly up to the older Jedi Knight.

"M-Master Skywalker?" The young one said, tripping over his words.

"Yes?" He asked, forcing a tone more pleasant then usual, and crouching down to his eye level, as to not intimidate the child even more then he seemed to be.

"Master Kenobi was in the courtyard a few minutes ago, wondering where you were, and asked us to tell you that he's looking for you." The young boy said quietly. Anakin began to panic slightly. If Obi Wan was looking for him, why hasn't he received a message over his com link. He began to stand, but remembered to respond first.

"Thank you, young one, go back to your friends now, I will find Master Kenobi." He smiled softly, and stood fully, and turned on his heels to find his friend.

He looked down to contact him over the Com unit, and immediately noticed its absence. Where in the world could it be? He had come straight to Padmé's and back, so where could he had lost-

He left it on her table, where he stored his belt.

He took it off when they went to bed the night prior.

His poor wife had probably been woken up ages ago to Obi Wan's many calls. He shook his head. He knew he was in for it.

He eventually found Obi Wan. And was greeted with concerned yells about how the council had wished to speak with him this morning. He sighed. He told the master that he had lost his com link and he hadn't noticed it.

With an eye roll, Obi Wan gave him a spare.

"I knew you would lose it eventually."

That night, he snuck back to the one place he truly called home. He was met with a disapproving glare of his wife.

"So you had a meeting with a council this morning?" She raised an eyebrow and he just chuckled.

"Correction, a missed meeting with the council." He said with a smirk growing on his face. And he needed to be more careeful about what he did with his stuff.
