Disclaimer: I do not own CSI or the song "Angel"

This is a very short fic based on something I thought up a while ago. I think it would make a great end to season 5 of CSI. It's written in the form of a script because when I picture it in my mind, it kind of seems more like a screenplay than a story. I left it up to the readers' imaginations as to why Sara is walking out of the prison at the beginning. It's kind of supposed to tie into the whole "Laura Sidle" thing from "No Humans Involved".

(Sara walks out of the prison building, crying softly. She looks up and sees Grissom leaning against the fence ahead of her. She approaches him.)

Sara: Grissom…what…what are you doing here?

(The song "Angel" by Sarah Mclachlan starts to play in the background)

Grissom: (looks at his feet) I… heard you were taking some time off. (looks up and meets her eyes) I knew where you'd be.

Sara: (wipes tears from her eyes) How long have you known about it?

Grissom: (looks at her sadly) Quite a while.

Sara: I…I just had to talk to her. (cries harder) It's so hard to deal with. It's tearing me apart.

Grissom: (lightly touches her cheek) I'm so sorry, Sara. (he pulls her into a hug and she cries on his shoulder)

(Song ends with lyrics "in the arms of the angel, may you find some comfort here". Screen fades to black)
