So I was reading one of the Cyberchase stories, not you, singertobe, you write awesomely well but another author who had Inez calling Digit stupid in an almost mocking way and it sort of turned me off hunting down Cyberchase fanfiction and just writing my own. This is also a dedication to singertobe and I hope you enjoy! Somewhat based off of 'You'll Be in My Heart' from Tarzan.

"WHY ARE YOU GIVING BACK POWER TO THE CYBERSITES?!" Hacker's furious voice came and he threw Digit to the ground outside.

Digit shook his head. "It's not right...you're hurting Cyberspace...I don't want to help in that..."

"Listen to me, I made you so you would do as I say! NOT SO YOU CAN RUIN MY PLANS!" Hacker yelled.

"I don't care if you made me or not... doing this to Cyberspace is not right." Digit said, trembling a little at Hacker's menacing figure.

Hacker was furious. "You don't care? You don't care?" He struck a whip down Digit's back causing the borg to begin bleeding. "No one's going to help you, you know. You honestly think Marbles and Motherboard will accept you?" He struck the whip down again.

"S-stop! Stop!" Digit woke up from the nightmare of his past, trembling and shaking from the recollection when he realized where he was. He wasn't with Hacker anymore, he was safe with Motherboard and Dr. Marbles.

"Digit?" Motherboard said gently. "Are you alright?"

Digit didn't know what to say. It had only been a day or two since he had run away to Control Central and he didn't want to be a bother to Motherboard. 'I don't deserve to be here. I'm just a bad reminder of what Hacker did. It's kindness enough that Motherboard accepted me back'

"Digit," Motherboard spoke again, cutting into the gloomy thoughts. "You can talk to me. Hacker's actions aren't your fault."

"B-but," Digit stammered. "He made me…I'm just…I'm just a reminder."

For a moment, Motherboard didn't say anything and the silence made Digit feel as if the kind ruler agreed that he was just a bad reminder when she finally spoke.

"Dr. Marbles and I made Hacker," Motherboard finally replied softly. Her form then glowed and a beautiful woman emerged, with long flowing blue hair and golden eyes as she gently placed a hand on Digit's uninjured wing. "We made him to do good. It doesn't matter what intentions we have, Digit. What matters most is the paths we choose. Hacker took you away from us but you chose to come back. You chose to leave him because you didn't like the things he was doing to Cyberspace. I'm here for you." She wanted Digit to open up because she was relieved he had returned to them.

Digit slowly shifted closer, feeling a little comforted by her words. "I…I had a nightmare. When Hacker found out…I had given power back to the cybersites, he was really mad. He whipped me…it really hurt, I wasn't sorry for what I did but…I was scared…" His eyes watered and a few tears cascaded down to his beak, trembling beginning to start again.

Motherboard pulled Digit into a hug. "It's ok Digit. You're safe. I'll never let Hacker lay a hand on you again. I promise."

Digit cried for a few minutes before calming down and slowly falling back to sleep in Motherboard's warm embrace.
