Chapter 1 – Designer Austrian Crystal Mint Burt Elegance Chandelier
I love home depot. I think the dinning room needs a new chandelier. I put some cash in my wallet; you never know when your credit cards had one penny left. I hope Edward doesn't mind that I borrowed his Volvo, since it will come back to him in one piece.
AT THE STORE…….
"No!" I wailed, "They don't have the Designer Austrian Crystal Mint Burt Elegance Chandelier! NO! My life is over! I have failed you my Carlisle!" I was desperate. I understood Alice and her shopping completely. An employee walked over to me eyeing me like I was a lunatic. "Miss, can I help you?" what a gentleman. "Yeah, do you have any at all Designer Austrian Crystal Mint Burt Elegance Chandeliers?" I needed to know if they were even in this store. Otherwise I would go nuts. I was getting frantic when he typed in something in a computer next to him, in the customer service isle. How did I get here? The suspense was killing me. "I'm sorry miss. The last one in stock was sold to Mrs. Stanley, but the next shipment will be in a month. I can reserve one, for you, if you like." No. I wanted it and I wanted it now! I raced as fast as I could while not blowing our cover, back to the Volvo and faster than Edward to Mrs. Stanley's house. I needed that chandelier. I parked on her lawn, got out, and banged the doorbell. The door opened, only for me to find the sleazy Mike Newton standing there. He gawked at me,quite rudely. "Oh, Mrs. Cullen, I'll get Mrs. Stanley for you." Good riddance, he smelled of disgusting aftershave or whatever. My Carlisle never had to put on cologne, I liked his natural smell. I was getting distracted. I was on a mission. A mission to get that chandelier. Mrs. Stanley appeared in a short span of time. "Hello, Esme. Good to see you." Her smile annoyed me. It was creepy. "I was wondering if I could buy the Designer Austrian Crystal Mint Burt Elegance Chandelier that you bought." I could almost feel myself putting it up over the dinning table. It. Was. Going. To. Be. MINE! "How much are you willing to offer for it?" She wanted more money. I was glad to give it to her if the chandelier could be mine. "One thousand dollars, max." that should be enough. "Okay. If you want to see the chandelier, go right ahead." I practically leapt for joy. I inspected it thoroughly. I finally was satisfied it was genuine. I handed over the money after counting it out, and then packed away the chandelier, and was out the door before she could ever change her mind.
