Chapter 1
The early morning sun blazed through the window above Remus Lupin's bed. From the looks of it all of the ather boys in Gryffindor tower where still asleep, he sighed and sat up in bed, rubbing the sleep from is eyes. He looked at the calander that hung on his wall beside the window and groaned, the next night would be the full moon and James had Quidditch, there was no way he would be able to keep his mind on the game if he was thinking about the nights events. Remus shook himself, Get a grip, he thought to himself, you know James can handle it so stop worrying, you've got enough on your mind. Quietly he changed into his robes and climbed down the stairs into the common room.
The common room was unusually empty and the reson was made clear when Remus checked his watch, it was 5:30 AM! Everyone slept in the first Saturday back at Hogwarts and this year proved to be no different. Remus took a seat in one of the large armchairs by the glowing embers of the fire and stared at the wall, not really even seeing it.
Remus didn't know what was wrong with himself, he just couldn't seem to focus this year. At first he had blamed it on first week jitters but he now realized that wasn't the case and what bugged him the most was he didn't know what was. It could have been that Remus was just anxuios about his 5th year OWLs that he would have to take in June or that the full moon was approaching, but he had though and ruled out each of these resons. Yet he still couldn't pin point the problem, and there was a problem, why else would he be up early on a Saturday?
Remus's thoughts where inturupted when he heard the door of the boy's dormitorie slam behind him, he turned to see one of his best friends Sirius Black strolling up behind him, still in his Pajamas.
