Lady of Light
They see the commanding strength and wisdom within her, the harsh words that pass from her lips-and they think she s indifferent. She seldom joins in conversations or social engagements, and when she does she frequently wanders to stand alone, facing away from people. Music is her solace. She will quiet those around her whenever her people are playing their songs. Her eyes close, and the faint ghost of a smile graces her lips. When she has the time she will sing to herself songs of old, in hushed tones she dares to sing in her own tongue. How sweet then is her voice, and how freely fall her tears! If they only knew the pain she hides, the fear she carries in her heart for her people—and how even I, the husband of the Lady of the Light, can be so close to her physically, yet have a chasm the span of this World between us. To our people she is the Lady of Light, yet to herself she is of the twilight.
