Author's Note: This is just something I put together for school after having read a few of The Sword of Truth series. My assignment required me to have certain poetic devices such as rhyme and similes and whatnot.. so if you do not think it flows perfectly, that is probably why. That being said, enjoy!

"The Land of the Odd"
-------------------
A witch woman fared
in the depths of Agaden Reach,
where not one cared nor dared
accept her offer of a peach.
As one might approach her
she seemed to shrink,
the castle behind her growing and growing,
tall as the sky.
Small though this witch woman called Shota was,
her reputation had preceded her.
The whispered rumors of many
told of fearsome, zany
and infamous tales.
But one sought her out,
the need for her help outweighing
any possible fear.
He still found this witch to be one
of the odder creatures he had met,
definitively dangerous and peculiar in her strange,
but thankfully helpful ways.
Then again, this man had no room to talk,
for he, too was one of the odder creatures many had met -
to be fair, this world was full of them.
He was but a foreigner amongst the norm.
