Light and Misa are finally together. Misa is as happy as she can be in their one sided relationship. What happens when Light is called up by his father to work along side with the greatest detective known as L? Can Light contain his feelings? Will sparks fly between both him and L?
A/N: I do not own Death Note at all. If I did, Misa Amane would be in the notebook for sure. Also this is an AU. Therefore, Light Yagami is not Kira.
"LLIGGHHHT!" The high pitched voice rang through his ears, as he was coming to the surface of his slumber. "LIGHT, WAKE UP!" with a groan Light opened his eyes to see his girlfriend, Misa Amane, hovering over his body. "I'm up. Now please stop yelling," Light told Misa, as he propped himself up onto his elbows causing Misa to fall over onto her side of the bed. Light's eyes traveled to the clock that was on the small little black nightstand. The clocked read 7:00am in big bold neon green numbers. Light could already tell from the way his morning started that this was going to be the longest day of his life. With another annoyed groan, Light violently ripped the sheets off his body. Instantly the cold air beat on his bare body. Well, not completely bare. Light had on ball squeezing red tights, thanks to his girlfriend Misa. Light staggered into the bathroom, while fighting against his chills. Once in there, he began showering. He had long day ahead for him. His father, Soichiro Yagami, requested Light to come to the station. *bang, bang* "Liiiight, can I come in! we can shower together!" Misa pounded on the door, begging for access. Light quietly groaned in responds. He to this day questions why he is with her. Maybe because she was a hot up and coming model. Light finished up his shower, then came back into the room. "Oh, Light, if you would have let me in I would have gave you a good ending," Misa said as she ran her hand down Light's damp exposed chest. Light lightly pushed her hand away. "No thank you. Plus I have things to do today," he moved pasted Misa trying to get to his dresser. "What do you have to do today? We never get time for each other!" Misa pouted as she stomped her foot like a child would do after their parents said no they are not allowed to have that piece of cake before dinner. "Misa, I already told you. My father has called me into the office and said that you can't tag along." Light knows that his father did not have Misa in mind when telling him to come meet him. This was the only time he had to get away from the blonde high voiced girl, so he would be damned if he didn't take advantage of it. As Light continued to get dressed, he just wonder what was so important thart his father needed him. He pushed those thought aside, as he lightly kissed Misa good bye. "Don't wait up for me," Light said to her. "Okay, I love you," Misa said. Light didn't bother to say it back as he got in his car and pulled off.
