I thought I have already experienced death when my life was taken away from me. But this was twice as bad as taking my soul. Sure, I could live forever. But, is forever enough for this pain to heal? They say time heals pain. Will it be the same for me?
Is a hundred lifetimes enough for me to forget?
No rack can torture me,
My soul's at liberty.
Behind this mortal bone
There knits a bolder one
You cannot prick this saw,
Nor rend with scimitar.
Two bodies therefore be;
Bind one, and one will flee.
The eagle of his nest
No easier divest
And again the sky,
Than mayest thou,
Except thyself may be
Thine enemy;
Captivity is consciousness,
So's liberty.
-Emily Dickinson
I know that this is short but it's just a start.
