Okay, the characters don't belong to me at all, so please don't sue me. No flaming me with nasty reviews either. And one more thing thank you so much to the person who wrote "All I Needed To Know I Learned From ER" You have given me some wonderful ideas for some stories and I thank you for it!!!:-)
"Carter what the hell are you doing in there?" screamed Dr. Kerry Weaver as she banged on the bathroom door.
"I told you it might take me a while.. geeeeeeez. If I knew living with you was going to be so hard..... Then I would of never rented out the spare room of yours." replied Carter as he finished shaving his face.
Both of them were due at the Cook County at noon. It was already 11:15. They need to leave the house in the next 10 minutes if they were going to make the EL train.
"Alright, I'm coming..... Just let me brush my teeth and then we can leave for the EL train... It isn't raining outside is it?" asked Carter as he turned on the water and wetted his tooth brush.
"Yes, it is raining outside right now. The weatherman said we're suppose to get some severe thunderstorms in the next 24 hours. Carter, hurry up in there!!!" screamed Kerry as she walked into her bedroom to finish getting dressed.
"Oh man..... I hate going to work in the rain... I always end up getting soaked or I fall down in a huge puddle... Geez. Okay I 'm ready. Let me grab my bag and we can leave." said Carter as he straightened his tie before he turned out the bathroom light.
Soon our duo was leaving the house and practically running to the EL station because they both heard the train coming and they couldn't miss the train because it would another 2 hours till the next one came around for the downtown area.
"Okay, we're on the train. It's okay. We'll make it and I'll change into some scrubs when we get to the hospital, it happens all the time. That's why I hate going to work in the rain." replied Carter as he tried to wipe off as much muddy water form his face and shirt and pants as he could.
"Who knew that there was a huge puddle there and it was slippery" chuckled Kerry as she helped Carter wipe his face off. After about 15 minutes of sitting on the EL train it suddenly came to a jerky stop and then... it went pitch black......
"Kerry, what happened?" asked Carter with a little bit of fright in his voice.
"I think we stopped because the power went out or something. All I can hear is the rain beating against the window." replied Kerry as she tried to make herself more comfortable on the hard EL train seats. As the train car slowly tipped over, Carter begins to notice the car slowly falling. The car was above the hospital......
"Kerry, I think we're slowly falling." said Carter as he tried to hang on to the pole.
"Carter, are you serious?" asked Kerry with some fright in her voice.
"Yes, Kerry the train is falling off the track!" screamed Carter as the train took to final drop on the street.
Outside, Dr. Mark Greene watched in horror as the train fell a few hundred yards away from him. He already started to run towards it before it even hit the ground. The train landed with a bunch of screams and huge crash. Inside, people were falling over and Carter banged his head hard against the window and then he lost consciousness.
"Oh man. I hope Carter drove to work today. I don't think he can handle this again", Dr. Peter Benton said to himself as he ran out the Emergency Room doors and to the fallen train.
"Carter... Carter, where are you?", asked Kerry as she tried to get up, but fell in pain as she noticed her leg was twisted a way no leg should ever be twisted, "Carter....."
"Someone help me, please.", whispered a person from underneath a seat.
"Okay, we'll be out of here soon.", replied Kerry to the voice, "I hope.", Kerry added under her breath.
