Word drabble for 100 words. This was kind of hard, doing exactly 100 words. Hopefully I got my point across.
Regret
Derek tries not to regret things in life; hell, he's happy he's even alive.
He let's Simon regret everything for him. Sort of like saying the words Derek can never utter.
"We never should have told dad."
"We should have never done that."
"Damn, why did we do this?"
So Derek was utterly caught off guard when he muttered the words "Why did I push them together?" in the middle of the night, watching the scattered stars from above, hearing Simon's smothered snores and Chloe's tossing.
It was a foreign feeling.
And he found he didn't like it.
At all.
