A/N: Since we don't really know anything about Dumbledore's youth I'll stumble along as best I can. Please excuse me!
"Anything off the cart dears?" asked a pleasant looking witch.
"Erm, some Every Flavor Beans please." Said Albus politely.
An exchange was made and she waddled off. Albus turned to his older brother Aberforth and asked him curiously.
"How are we sorted Aberforth?"
"Well it's very simple." Said Aberforth laughing to himself. "All you have to do is take a pig and transfigure it into a goat. Depending on how it looks they sort you into your house.
Albus decided to humor his elder, and rather mentally challenged brother by pretending to believe him. His brother had somewhat of a fixation with goats.
"Oh." Was all he said. At just that moment his brother's special aid, Ms. Clavixar came to take Aberforth away.
"Come along Aberforth." Was all she said and they departed leaving Albus in his compartment all alone. He thought briefly of visiting his little sister Anika but then decided against it. She was probably fine, as she did have her friend Carrie, Professor Hunt, the Transfiguration teacher's daughter to play with.
Albus opened his every flavor beans curiously. He had never had them before because his father who had been unfortunate enough to have come across dung flavored one in his youth had never allowed them in the house. Saying that they were the evil of Salazaar Slytherin himself. Albus knew that this wasn't true, but Aberforth believed it. Albus inspected the bag closely, opened it and popped one in his mouth. He gagged.
"Er, are you all right?" asked a boy who entered his compartment.
"Yes, it's just an every flavor bean."
"Oh those are nasty! What flavor did you get?" the boy asked him curiously.
Albus shuddered, "Vomit I believe."
"I say how horrid!" the boy exclaimed disgustedly.
"Rather. " Said Albus. "I'm Albus Dumbledore."
"Alastor Moody" Said the boy.
"Say, does your father happen to be a Charms Professor?" asked the boy curiously.
"No." said Dumbledore, "He was an auror."
"Oh! Said Alastor excitedly. That must be fun!"
"Well he's dead so it wasn't so fun for him."
"Oh." Said Alastor. I'm sorry.
"That's all right." Said Albus. I'm used to it. I have only a brother and sister left. Aberforth is a little wrong in the head but my little sister Anika is very sweet."
"You talk beyond your years." Said Alastor. "You sound very old and wise."
"A lot of people seem to think that." Said Albus "I think it's all silliness."
Suddenly the train stopped.
"Woohoo!" cried Alastor excitedly we're here! Let's get on out then!"
A little while later they were sailing across a giant lake with the gamekeeper Og. They had just gotten out of the boats when they heard a loud scream.
"Ahhhh! A monster's got me! help!" Everyone panicked. Even more so when they figured out that Og couldn't do any magic. Only Albus kept his head.
"It's only a Grindylow." Said Albus calmly. "Relashio!" he said pointing his wand at it.
Just as the grindylow was sinking back into the water Albus heard someone say
"Oi! you, Dumbledore! Come with me." The yell came from a very large and fierce looking man.
Albus followed the man, leaving the other first years wondering what he could have possibly done wrong. He hadn't yet stepped foot inside the castle and already he was in trouble! To them he was a hero, having saved that girl from a monster. He knew so much already! Dumbledore knew what they had assumed and smiled to himself, a bit of a twinkle in his eye.
A/N: Still awful I know but I tried! Hopefully he upcoming chapters will be better!
