On a tiny desolate beach in Norway stands Rose and The Doctor with Jackie, Pete and Mickey are waiting by the Jeep. Giving Rose and The Doctor space.
"There's one tiny little gap in the Universe left, just about to close. And it takes a lot of power to send this projection, I'm in orbit around a super nova." The Doctor said.
"You
look like a ghost." Weakly Rose spoke. The
doctor points his sonic screw driver into empty space on the
left.
"Hold on...
"
Rose's hand reaching
for his face "Can I
t--?"
Regret filled his
voice. "I'm still just an
image. No touch."
"Can't you come through properly?" Her voice was trembling.
"The whole thing would fracture. Two Universes would collapse."
Half joking she spoke "So?" then her voice cracking. "How long have we got?"
"About two minutes..."
Almost laughing "I can't think of what to say!"
He gave a nod in the direction of the jeep. "You've still got, then?"
"There's
five of us now. Mum, dad, Mickey... and the baby."
"You're
not...?"
"Yeah… three months gone."
"Mr. Mickey's ?"
"No"
The doctor looks mystified. "How?"
"It usually involves a guy and a girl."
"No I mean a time lord and a human."
Shrugs "But I think the important question is are we…" She gives a brief glance at her stomach "Ever gonna see you again? "
"You can't." he says ever so quietly.
Rose almost can't speak she's sobbing so hard "What're you gonna do?
I lo…"
She chokes with tears before she can finish her sentence. She takes a moment to regain her composure, and then "I love you." Another shuddering sob escapes her. The Doctor gazes at her with heart-rending tenderness and devotion.
The Doctor gazed at her for the last time. "And I suppose... if it's one last chance to say it..." He pauses a moment, eyes locked with hers. "Rose Tyler..."
