That settled it. Zuko was brilliant. Sure they all had their moments, but he was always one step ahead.

He did everything right. Why couldn't he just see that himself?

When Zhao was following him, he smoked him out.

When the avatar was captured, he rescued him, surely knowing he couldn't keep him single-handed.

When the time came to choose between his pride and what was right, he always chose what was right.

He never achieved his ultimate goal, but can't he see all the little ones he did achieve all along?

Of course he didn't. He only saw the bad qualities in himself.

But not me. I knew it all along. Thats why I switched sides. He's the most brilliant person I've ever met. I knew it was no use taking sides against him. With his determination, he would surely win. He's so skilled and talented, a natural leader.

In all, his brilliance was worth more than any of the others' talents.

There was Sokka. A brave warrior. I've heard stories of the way he stood in front of Zuko's ship, prepared to be run over before backing down. But bravery is worth nothing to the world if you're flattened by a fire navy ship.

Then there's Katara. She is persistent. She'll do whatever she can to achieve her goal, but she has too many weaknesses to win us the war.

There's Iroh, the wisest man in all the fire nation. Knowledge is nothing if you can't put it into action.

There's Azula. She has more nerve than any human being on the planet. But she was weak, wild.

Toph is aware. She always seems to know whats going on. But awareness only gets you so far.

And of course, Aang. Raw talent. Born to lead. Power like I couldn't imagine. But he's so young, so scared.

Zuko has all those things.

When we were younger, I remember watching when he would practice with swordplay. I found his every move fascinating. I still do.

Guess who I am?
