You see, Chad was in trouble.
Not with the law or anything, just in general.
No addiction is healthy, but he couldn't help it.
Ring ring
"Hello?" the incredibly sunny voice of Sonny Monroe answered.
"Hey! What's up?" Chad responded, equally cheerful.
"Chad," Sonny giggled, "this is the fourth time we've had this conversation tonight. I'm reading and you're watching a chess tournament, right?"
"Wrong. The chess tournament ended half an hour ago." Chad said, pleased that she remembered.
"Then what are you doing now?" she asked, truly curious.
"Making supper. Do you wanna come by and eat with me?" he said, silently begging her to say yes. He had barely seen her that day and missed her dearly.
"I don't know Chad..."
"Come on! I'm making your favorite."
"Macaroni and cheese?" she inquired.
"Yeah. It's really the only thing I know how to cook." he was slightly embarrassed to tell her.
"Okay. Only because I can't miss seeing you try to cook." Chad could her the smirk in her voice.
"Alright. See you in ten minutes or so?" he tried to restrain his voice from sounding to eager.
"Yeah, about. Bye." Click
"was that Chad again?" Sonny's roommate, cast mate, and friend, Tawny Hart laughed.
"Yes. He wants me to come over. He's called me five times today. That make thirty-two this week!" Sonny laughed with her friend.
Sonny quit laughing and put on a love-sick expression saying, "Maybe I'm going just going mad, but I'm kind of enjoying it."
"Well, get out of here. Only God knows how long that boy has been waiting for this."
