"Looooovi!"
South Italy gasped in shock as Spain wrapped her arms around his waist and pulled him in for a hug from behind. He blushed as he felt her snuggle her face into the back of his neck. "What do you want?" he demanded in his awkward, tsundere way.
"Mmm, nothing. Te amo, Lovino," Spain purred. Her lips tickled against his skin and his blush deepened when she kissed it.
"You mean ti amo," he grumbled. "T-i, not t-e."
Spain spun him around and rested her chin on his shoulder. "Actually, I'm pretty sure it's te amo. You know, with an e."
"I."
"E."
"I!"
"Fratello?"
South Italy glared at his twin (who'd been watching them from the kitchen, the little sneak). North Italy gulped nervously and continued. "When I was living with Grandpa Rome, he always said 'te amo' to Ancient Egypt. Te amo… you know… with an E..." he trailed off and cringed against the doorway, watching his brother fearfully.
Several emotions passed over Lovino's face. Shock, denial, hurt, betrayal and anger all came and went. Spain watched him anxiously and was relieved when he finally remembered to breathe.
"That- ...he-..." Lovino spluttered.
"It's okay to be wrong sometimes, Lovi," Spain giggled. She didn't often win a fight so this was refreshing.
"I'm never wrong! Latin is a dead language anyway!"
"...Te amo."
"Shut up!"
XD WHAT THE HECK IS THIS?! It was vaguely inspired by the argument Epic and I had over whether it should be "te amo" or "ti amo". I looked up the Latin version and it was "te amo" …..so I won.
I'm pretty sure I also looked up the Latin version. Maybe I just didn't tell Viva what it was because I was in denial.
