His calloused hands lift me gently from the shelf, for once I wish I could shiver. He sets me back carefully, intent as though memorizing my every feature. A shimmer behind him and I wish I could scream. He shouts something - I'm distracted by the effect of his voice vibrating through my glass, humming against my metal edges. He is slammed into the wall jarring me loose. As we both crash to the floor, his gorgeous green eyes sliding closed, I wish I'd spent my existence surrounding his beauty instead of the dusty wedding photo of an unhappy couple.
