They sat for a while in silence letting Ethan's music drift around them.
"Are you going to be alright?" Gideon asked finally.
Reid looked down into the chestnut depths of the drink he was holding and shook his head.
"I...need help," he admitted hoarsely. "I've tried quitting by myself and...I can't."
He looked up at Gideon his eyes pleading.
For a long moment Jason studied the desperation in the pale face beside him, gauging it, weighing it before gently saying,
"At least now you've taken the first step...asking for help...Do you know what the second step is Spencer?"
Again the younger man shook his head. "No," he half whispered.
"It's forgiving yourself."
