Number Twenty-Two: Mother Nature
----------
Gregory never did understand how someone who spent so much time underground could get so tan.
Mole, the subject in question, was a missionary-for-hire French-man whose trademark ability was digging. And, as stated, he was, obviously, underground a lot. The only time he wasn't, was when he was at school, but that wasn't enough time to get a dark tan like he had.
It had to be something else.
And it was a few years before Gregory figured it out.
One day, when he was trying to find Mole during lunch to go over some details, he found him sleeping on a picnic table outside. Curious, he walked up and woke the teen.
Surprisingly, Mole wasn't the least bit groggy when he woke; on the contrary, he was rather alert and listened carefully to his new mission. When everything was done, he simply laid back again and fell asleep.
To say the least, it intrigued the blonde. And after that, he made it a point to go and check on the other during lunches and on his free time.
For the most part, he would be found as he was that first day. Asleep. Be it on a picnic table or in a field.
Though, occasionally, he would be up and about, usually digging.
Seems that Gregory had his answer on how Mole had such a tan as he did.
Another discovery he made, not to long after, was that he had a farmers tan.
Meaning, since he wore that same outfit all the time, he had major tan lines.
Not that Gregory minded, actually, he found it quite a bit of fun to run his fingers over the lines, and taking note of the difference before lightly suggesting that the other should 'tan' without his shirt occasionally so it would even out a little.
Such suggestions were met in semi-aggressive way that left both parties tired.
So much for the mystery of the magical tan.

That last line makes me laugh, I couldn't help myself, I'm sorry.
B
No, but seriously, there is no other explanation. If he is as tan as everyone one seems to think he is, he would have to constantly be sleeping outside, cause he job's consist of digging underground and usually take place at night.
Yep.
:D
Oh, I don't know if this qualifies as slash or ChristopheGregory or not. Yew can perceive eet as yew wish. 3
