Severus Snape was sad. Three hours ago, he had a terrible fight with his best friend, Lily Evans, a beautiful girl he always loved. Her smile, her red hair, her kindness, he loved everything in her. Everything.

Then, why had he to hurt her like that? He always knew he didn't deserve such a friend... She was so sweet, and she accepted him as he was. She didn't ask him what he couldn't give her.

It happened so quickly... He didn't have time to react, or to say anything. She just left, and didn't talk to him anymore. He was desperate. There was no one like Lily. But, that's a fact, she could be very angry if someone, even a person as important as her best friend, did something wrong. And, unfortunately, Severus made this mistake today.

Could she forgive him one day? This situation was very uncomfortable to him.

The young boy sat in the green and wet grass, under a tree, a special tree : the exact place he first saw her... Such a joyful moment! He would do anything at this moment to talk to her, to see her.

Everyone knew it, Severus Snape and Lily Evans didn't fight often. The Slytherin was so grateful to have a friend like the Gryffindor, and the red-haired couldn't imagine just spend a day without talking to her best friend, even if it was to say him she went to the supermarket or something like that. She knew he will always be interested by each of her actions. She walked along the river? He was fascinated. She ate spinach and hate that? Nothing could be better to hear for him.

His life wasn't full of joy, and she brought him peace and happiness every time they met, or tried to comfort him in the worst days : when his father was at home. He didn't want to loose someone like her, her only friend, the girl he loved so much...

He was determined : he had to apologize. That was the only way to save his friendship with the young Evans. See her crying was the most horrible thing he had to endure in his entire life. It was because of him, that was unforgivable...

How could he do that to her? It seemed so insignificant when it happened.

It wasn't usual for him to apologize, he wasn't sure of how to accomplish this.

Girls are so complicated, it was hard to know how to communicate with them. After all, how many time a boy would have to apologize after breaking the head of a doll? The favorite of his Lily moreover... Such a bad day!
