Prologue

"Squirrelflight pushed!" Jayfeather ordered the queen. The ginger she-cat clamped her teeth around a stick, and gave a final push. She yowled with pain. Jayfeather began to lick the kit, once he hear the kit breathing, he pushed it toward Squirrelflight's belly.

Jayfeather gathered his herbs, "You have a she-cat" He meowed, as the kit's father, Bramblestar entered the den. The tabby tom purred, and nuzzled into his mate's fur.

"She's beautiful" He meowed, Squirrelflight opened her eyes, and stared at her kit. Joy filled her eyes, "We should name her Cedarkit" She meowed

Bramblestar purred with agreement. Cedarkit let out a little mew, and her tiger-like furred fluffed. Squirrelflight chucked, and groomed the tabby kit's fur. Bramblestar rose to his feet, "I must address this to the clan" He meowed, Squirrelflight didn't argue. Bramblestar leaped onto High Rock.

"Cats of Thunderclan!" He bellowed, "Squirrelflight has safety kitted, and we have a new member of Thunderclan, and her name is Cedarkit!" He yowled, and the clan cheered, "Cedarkit! Cedarkit! Cedarkit!" They yowled. Squirrelflight smiled from inside the nursery, soon Sandstorm and Leafpool entered the nursery.

Tears filled their eyes, "You finally have kits of your own" Leafpool whispered, Sandstorm smiled, "Firestar would have loved her" She meowed, looking up. When the sun started to set, the cats of Thunderclan headed toward their nest. Many cats have come seen Cedarkit, but soon Bramblestar was shooing them off.

Jayfeather fixed his herbs, something about that kit, is different he told himself, he shrugged, and curled into his nest.

He awoke to a starry forest, and Jayfeather knew where he was, "Starclan?" He called into the mist, just then a flame-colored tom appeared.

"Jayfeather" He started, his face showed, that he was in no mood to waste time. "Cedarkit, is no ordinary kit. She must be train for good, or she will destroy the clans"

Jayfeather looked confused, his blind eyes stared at Firestar, "What do you mean?" He questioned. Firestar began to fade, "No, don't go. Tell me what you mean!" He called.

His body surged awake, he was panting, and his nest was spreaded everywhere, he hear Firestar's voice echo in his ear.

"The Cedar with grow fast, don't let it fall."
