Work Song
Chrome opened her eye, staring into the eyes of her beloved. Her long hair resting gently on the water, floating and swaying as if in slow motion.
She was wearing a loose, see-through white dress. Her body naked underneath. The water rippled with each tiny movement. Her bangs covering her other eye as her eyepatch was not with her.
Her lover smiled that tender smile of theirs that always made Chrome feel warm and fuzzy inside. The smile that made her feel safe and loved.
Her lover lay only a few inches from her, their eyes never parting with hers. They wore black and looked serene while smiling at her. Chrome smiled in return, making her beloved feel butterflies.
They each reached their hands towards the other. Their fingers laced together. The touch gentle and strong.
"I love you, Nagi." They said.
"I love you too." She said, a happy tear running down her eye and disappearing into the water they floated on.
