Reflection.

It's cold as she walks in to the chapel, but a pale faced Jessica, who still had tear stains on her cheeks, as she's cried herself to sleep, doesn't care as she makes her way through the ED. Her friends look at her concerned, she's burying her son in a few hours. Jessica stops in front of a door, knowing what or who is in there. She slowly reaches out and presses down on the handle, stepping inside as the door opens. The room is bare, except for the carpet underneath her feet, and she finds herself focusing on the tiny white coffin, which is placed on two pieces of wood. She takes a few shaky steps towards it, and braces herself to look inside.

There is Harry, dressed in a blue babygrow, his eyes are shut, he looks like he's sleeping. Reaching in, she takes her baby in to her arms, rocking him gently. She needs him, he needs his mummy.

"It's ok, Harry, baby, she whispers. "Mummy's here" She whispers the same words she had when she heard him crying,

Adam Trueman, wakes up with a jolt, Jessica isn't beside him in bed, somehow he knows where she'll be. Throwing on a a pair of jeans that were abandoned on the floor last night, he grabs a tee - shirt and grabbing his keys and wallet, he's out the door.

Adam knocks on the door. Without waiting for an answer, he walks in.

"Hey" He speaks.

Jessica stares at him with a blank expression on her face. Adam would have preferred it if she'd yelled, screamed or cried, at home the silence is deafening. They'd gone from being a family of three, him, Jess, Harry, to a family of two, parents who are broking, the bond being lowered in to the ground in a few hours. Suddenly, she lets out a cry, that paralyses him, much like the cold water would have paralysed her, caused her to gasp for breath, while she looked for a way out, but all she can see is water, which is cold, oh, so cold.

A few hours later, Adam and Jessica stand at the cemetery, watching as the coffin is lowered in.

Their son had kept them together, now his death is pulling them apart.
