Lucy's POV

I watched as he walked down the hall, strutting along while bickering with Gray and Gajeel, his so called frenemies. Everyone admired him for his raw determination, wicked looks, and bad boy personality. His fans swooned him nearby, while I prefer to admire from afar. He was Natsu Dragneel, Mr. Popular here at Fairy High.

Our worlds can never collide. He was the popular bad boy, I was the bookworm that preferred to study and spoke only when necessary. Or so everyone thought. Truth is, I used to wear my hair down, not wear my fake glasses, and actually dress in cute clothes. But one day everything changed. Soon enough, I was off to a new school. That of course equaled a new me.

Natsu's POV

Damn ice freak always ruining my day! And for once I was looking forward to a good time tonight at Loke's midyear party. Of course it was exclusive, you get an invitation you come, you don't, well get out loser. I looked downwards as a piece of paper caught my eye. Curious, I picked it up as I read:

Lucy Heartfilia

Locker B761

Combination: 10-4-29

It was the nerd's locker number. I smirked, boy am I going to have some fun with this. Surely Loke wouldn't mind me bringing an extra guest will he?

Lucy's POV

Stupid Levy! You see, Levy is one of my only friends here and when she invited me to eat lunch with her, I thought it would be a great way for us to catch up, as we only have one class together each week. But no! When I walked into the lunchroom and spotted her, she was sitting with all the popular kids, including Natus, Gray Fullbuster, Erza Scarlet, Jellal Fernandes, Juvia Lockser, Gajeel Redfox, and all those jocks and cheerleaders. So I obviously did what any reasonable nerd would do, took one look at the table and left. Now here I am.

I crouched down to my locker, flickered through the combination, and opened it up. Instantaneously, a small piece of cardstock fell from one of the top shelves. I picked it up, it was an invitation to Loke's party tonight. This has got to be a joke right? I have been at this school for 3 years now and never once have I been invited to any sort of social gathering. I unknowingly tugged on my bun at the back of my head and strings of blond hair fell loose. I may be finally ready.
