For all you Deseo fans out there ( you know I love you!), I will have a new chapter up in a bit. Lester has been hounding me that he wants more time and that I've been neglecting him...I'll see what he thinks about that later when I have him tied to my bed, but that's another story! So here is something to keep him happy!

I call her Beautiful.

It's such a simple name for a woman who is so much more than that, but I haven't found a name that does her more justice. I've called her that from the first moment I laid eyes on her so long ago. Then it meant one thing, the outside beauty that you could see. But now the name encompasses so much more.

It's the way she smiles when she's having a bite of her beloved Boston Crème donuts or the way she grins when she gives Rex a treat.

It's the way she moves on the dance floor as I hold her in my arms and we move across the floor.

It's the way she indulges her grandmother by taking her to Atlantic City to make sure that she gets out for a bit, or when she takes her to the Clip 'N Curl so she can get her hair done and find out all the new and juicy gossip.

It's also the way she looks after all the Merrymen, making sure they all know their importance in her life and in her heart. The touches she gives them when they're injured, sick or back from a mission that has left them in a darker place. The way she teases and brings out the lighter side of men who sometimes have forgotten that one even exists.

It's the way she handles her skips. The times she tries to help them through what they may be going through and gets them to the other side. Her laughter as she sits with Mooner through another marathon of some sit-com he just has to see before he can leave.

It's the way she walks and carries herself. I've seen her be tortured and tormented alike and she always manages to have a smile, even if it's quivering in it' attempt to appear. She never loses it, despite the times she's been the subject of gossip.

It's the way she talks to her nieces and sees them as the individuals they are. Making sure they know that they are important as well, that they matter. With Angie, the immature grownup, she makes sure that she reminds her and shows her that it's ok to be a kid and laugh and be silly. With Mary Alice, she makes sure that she never loses her individuality no matter what anyone may say.

It's the way she took care of Lula after the Raimerez incident, the way she made sure that she knew she was worth it and that she mattered.

It's the way she staunchly defend all of her Merrymen when other would call us Thugs or worse. The way she stands in front of us ready to take on the world. As much as any one of us would gladly give our life for her, she in return would sacrifice herself for us.

It's the way she kisses Hector's teardrop tattoos, rubs Cal's flaming skull or teases Hal to the point of his blushing. The way she ran in a hospital room to claim Manny as her husband so she would know what was going on with him.

It's the way she believed in Ranger when he was on the run and the way she helped him rescue his daughter.

It's the way she moans as she enjoys her Pino's or any other food for that matter, though that may kill the rest of us.

It's the way her eyes sparkle with life and love as she looks at me. The way she melts into my arms as I hold her tight or the way her eyes darken after we share a heated kiss.

The reasons I call her Beautiful are as endless as the sea. But after today I have another name I get to call her, one that means more to me than I will ever be able to express.

Today I get to call her …my wife.
