AN: Hello everybody! I've already posted this fic before, but I decided to revamp this little drabble. So here it is. I think it's a lot better now, but tell me what you guys think!

...

As celestial bodies that can be viewed from the planet Earth, the Sun and the Moon are prone to overlapping each other on certain days that their angles align from a terrestrial perspective.

This wondrous phenomenon we experience is commonly known to us as an eclipse.

Yet, it's amazing that lives that are bound to this rocky planet can mirror the famed anomaly.

Nations can come and go. They can make an exceptional impact in this world, but they are able to crumble to nothingness in just a matter of time.

They represent their land's desires, their personalities, their likes and disinterests, everything.

As for Holy Roman Empire, he wanted Italy. He wanted "her" and he wanted "her" land. Not to say that he didn't love "her" for who "she" was, because he did. He loved his sun, but he could never see "her".

He was the moon, never able to stay still. Revolving around his problems. Always.

...but never actually solving them.

It's really too bad that Holy Roman Empire didn't stop and reach out to his sun, the sun…

Italia Veneziano.

Burning bright, shining upon others. A perpetual smile only one of "her" beautiful constants.

Wish you were mine, but of course you can't stay.

But "she" did. "She" did stay. It was the moon that didn't bother to marvel and relish in her light.

And it was only the rarest of moments that they would come together.

To eclipse.
