Bryan Caruso is a goddamned racehorse.

He is hitched into a cart

That is tearing him apart.

And he pulls this cart as though he were a workhorse.

His face contorts with effort as he pulls against

The bonds his owner – society – placed upon him.

Though he could shed these bonds on a whim,

He conforms to society's chains like a fool; he relents.

He is hard working, though at a cost.

His skin is pale and wrought tight over his bones.

Though outwardly calm, inside he is lost.

And society's limits have left him feeling dreadfully alone.

His hair is black and curls slightly

But he cuts it short to force it straight,

Much like he is forced straight by society.

Bryan Caruso is a gay horse.
