I was torn into a thousand pieces,
Scattered with no way of becoming one again
Every piece of my old life blown away in the wind
But he came back
He saved me
We can only attempt to fill the gaps in each other's lives
But we survive
We help each other hold on to what we have left
Only when we are alone we talk about the horrors
The nightmares that we have witnessed
Together we mend each other's broken hearts
Until, from the outside, we seem normal
But we aren't that lucky
The games has its way of leaving a mark
Even though it's long gone
We both bear its scars on our skin
And in our minds
Not visible to the naked eye but they are there all the same
Invisible marks making everyday a battle
But whenever life seems too hard I remind myself
There are much worse games to play.
