Heartbreak
An original poem by: Lena Ramirez
It happens to us all
In one way or another
That drastic change of heart
That quickly scratches out the word forever
}{
Suddenly, spoken words from the past seem silly and fake
How could you be so naive?
You try to take back all that's happened
Franticly trying to escape from this tangled web you weave
}{
The suitcase that holds you heart is worn and shabby
Signs that you've left from heartbreak before
You try to repair its rusty hinges that refuse to clasp
But it's on the verge of breaking; all this misery has taken its tole
}{
You are desperate to understand
what has changed all of their minds
Is there a switch from love to hate?
Will you be alone forever, or will you find what you're looking for in time?
}{
But your doubtful about finding 'that one'
It seems as though happy endings were only meant for fairytales
Or in a romance book where perfection comes within 100 pages
You've never had a content love, it was always forced down with nails
}{
But until then, you will fight
Trying your best not to give into the ache
True love will come when its good and ready
Each step closer is just another heartbreak
reviews anyone? :) tell me what you think .
