Tenten never really liked attention, as a shinobbi she had to pass unnoticed or the success of the mission could be risked, but unfortunately for her she always had attracted attention because of her beauty. She never thought it was because of her, it was really rare when she would walk alone so she would always think that it was because of the person who was with her. When she was with Lee she thought it was because of his weirdness, when she was with Ino she thought it was because of her beauty, when she was with Sakura she thought it was because she was very noisy, but there was one person that didn't attracted so much attention. Neji. That was why she enjoyed walking with him, not because they were in love or something, like Ino always insinuated, but because when she was with Neji nobody would stare at them. So she started walking more and more with Neji until he asked her if she would like to go out on a date, on the date he asked her if she wanted to be his girlfriend, and when she asked him why he said "Because I'm tired of the damn stares".
