It was over.

The fight between hunters and demons was finally over.

Both brothers survived with only minor scaring on their faces and tears in their clothes, but their dearly beloved angel friend was no where to be seen. The brother with the long, shaggy hair steadies himself before standing up on his two feet. "D-Dean?" He stutters, hobbling towards his brother, his ankle dragging behind. The other brother - Dean - opens his eyes, he lays flat on the ground. Blood trickles down the side of his face, nothing unusual there. "Yeah.. where's Cass?" Dean asks, taking his brother's out-stretched hand to get himself on his two feet.

They looked around for a little while for their angel friend, no where to be seen. "Castiel, get your angel ass over here right now" Dean mutters, wiping away the blood that trailed down his face. Sam - the other brother - Sam looks ahead at the black Chevy impala that was parked a few metres away. It was their home, their everything and it was an assuring sight to see that the old car was still left untouched. With an arm over their shoulders, they help each other make the walk towards the car. Dean pats his brother on the back gently.

"Did good Sammy." Dean smiles weakly, if he wasn't weak, he'd probably be throwing a party. Sam nods meekly.

With a rustle of feathers, their angel friend stands before them, just as they were about to reach the impala. A smile appears on Dean's lips, Sam makes a weak attempt at a smile, still hobbling along with his ankle. Castiel lifts his hand and gently touches both the of the brother's foreheads, healing them of any injuries. "Thanks Cass... where were you?" Sam asks, brushing off the dirt and grim that stuck to his jacket. "I," Castiel begins with his angelic voice - making Dean feel mushy, he missed that voice - "Was getting help." He finishes, eyes flickering between the brothers.

Dean felt weird, he knew Castiel was lying to him, you could see if through those blue eyes of his. "Castiel, what were you really doing?" Dean raises his eyebrow, getting straight to the point. Castiel looks to the ground, as if seeing what's beyond the dirt - which of course - both the brothers have seen and been to. "Fine," The angel sighs, fixing the creases on his beige overcoat "I was rescuing your brother from Lucifer's cage, while Crowley distracted you two." Suddenly out of no where, Adam walks out.

Both the brothers are stunned and confused, how? That was the question the two silently asked. "So, it's all thanks to your angel friend," Adam gestures towards Castiel "That I left the cage. It's been what? Five years?" He says, a small smile creeping upon his pale, pink lips. "It's good to see you too." Dean says under his heavy breath, Sam nudges his side before walking towards his younger half-brother.

Dean pulls Castiel aside - behind the stump of an overgrown tree. Dean looks around the tree, his brothers were two indulged in a conversation of their own. Castiel places his hand on Dean's cheek, caressing with his thumb gently. It was weird, for the both of them, mostly for Castiel. "You did good." Castiel comments, tilting his head to the side, admiring Dean's pale lips that he longed to taste. Dean shrugs, this catches him off caught - Castiel seizes the chance and leans forward. Their lips pressing together, in a long, intense kiss.
