Ok, had this idea. It's short and stuff but I wrote it anyway. This includes my normal OC Nafalis that I always use. This is the younger 6-year-old version. But the Dont-mess-with-me-or-I-will-kill-you attitude stays as it always has and always will. Anyway, enjoy.

He was dead! Zim was dead! And he, Dib, had done it! Finally, he was free to do what he wished and the Earth was no longer in danger! Dib did one last jump on his bed before landing on the ground. He let out a whoop and raised his arms in the air. No one was home but him so he could be as loud as he wanted. He paused a moment and hummed in thought. Zim wasn't dead yet, last time Dib had seen him he was only nearly dead. Dib ran down the stairs, quickly put on his shoes, and then ran out the door.

...

Dib walked down the hospital halls as he searched for room 51. How ironic. Dib chuckled lightly to himself and looked at the number to his right. He was at room 43 right now so he only had a little ways to go. Dib rounded the corner and smirked as he found room 51. He strode inside and stopped in his tracks. On a chair next where Zim lay a little girl sat in a wooden chair. She had long red hair, wore tall leather boots, tight jeans, and a blood red shirt.

Dib was silent as she sat there. The beeping from the moniter got slower, and slower, and slower until it finally stopped with one long beeeeeeeeeeeeep the didn't stop. The nurse unplugged it and silent walked out of the room. The little girl hung her head and was silent for a very long time. Dib saw a tear fall to the ground and she sobbed once. Dib's hear ached and he watched as she hopped off the chair and turned to face him. She glared at him angrily.

"He's dead. He was all I ever had, and now he's gone. Are you happy now, Dib?" her voice remained calm as she spoke, and this only made Dib feel worse. The girl shoved passed Dib and walked out of the room. Dib stood there, staring at Zim's dead body. He walked over and looked down at his face. Zim was an annoying little prick and Dib couldn't stand him. But when he needed to save his sister Zim was the one to help him out, when his dad was dying Zim made him a cure, when that one girl wouldn't leave him alone Zim was able to make her leave, and Dib could never forget that time that Zim went back for him when they had been trapped on that prison planet.

And now that he really thought about it, Zim was the closest thing to a friend that Dib had ever had in his entire life. No one ever even looked at him, let alone talked to him, and yet Zim was always talking to him. In retrospect, Zim never stopped talking to him. Yeah, it was all death threats and junk, but he still talked to him. Dib sighed. He was not happy now. Actually, Dib was sadder than ever before. And that girl, he had seen her once before. He had seen Zim save her once when that store had come crashing down. Was he protecting her? What would happen to her now that he was gone? Dib looked down at Zim's face and thought a moment.

"I think it's a little late, but I'm sorry," Dib said sincerely. "Neither of us saw it, but we really were best friends. But I promise you that I wont let anything happen to that little girl, and I guess I can try to look out for GIR too." Dib turned around and walked out of the room. Once out of the hospital he started running towards Zim's base. If he was lucky that little girl would be there and she'd be an easy find. Now that he thought about it, Dib hadn't really solved his problems, he had just made them worse.
