"Haha! Got you!"

Pikachu lay pinned beneath Glaceon, the latter currently bragging to him.

"How many times in a row was that?"

He mock glared. "Alright, enough. You've proven your point." Satisfied, she released him.

"D'ya think they've done anything romantic yet?" she curiously wondered aloud.

The 'they' Glaceon was referring to were their trainers, Ash and May. Pikachu shrugged.

"You tell me, May is the one who acknowledges her feelings. Ash is as dense as a ton of bricks."

"In that case, we shouldn't even hope. May is too shy to say anything," she replied, sighing.

"Well, how do you suppose we change that?"

"Huh?" She glanced quizzically at Pikachu.

"What if we," he began, "got the ball rolling? All we have to do is create the mood."

Glaceon's eyes lit up. "Yeah! Something really dreamy and dazzling. They'll be blown away!"

Straight away the two Pokémon went to work. Just before dusk, they finished, admiring their work.

"Now," said Pikachu, "let phase two commence."

"Calm down, Glaceon!" cried May.

"Piakchu, you too! What has gotten into you guys?" Ash inquired.

The Pokémon shared a smug look and raced ahead of their trainers.

"Come back!" May and Ash yelled in unison, chasing after them. However, the two stopped dead in their tracks, in awe of the setting before them. The open field, dotted with tall oak trees, gleamed in the shine of the setting sun. The purple sky opened above them, early stars winking coyly. Nestled snugly in tree branches were glowing ice crystals, powered by minute balls of electricity. Multicolored ribbons draped the trees, shimmering blowing in the breeze. Glitter lightly dusted the blades of emerald grass, exhibiting the feel of other worldly magic.

Silently, Pikachu and Glaceon crept away, but it wasn't necessary; the trainers were so absorbed in their surroundings a bomb could go off, and it wouldn't faze them.

The Pokémon sat side by side on a short hill, regarding the field below.

"Those Bellossom sure were generous, diluting their Sleep Powder solution to make the glitter," the ice type commented.

"And Jynx, the seamstress, was really benevolent, donating all of those ribbons," added Pikachu.

They gazed at their trainers, deep in conversation. May was noticeably flustered, and Ash was the picture of shock.

Beaming, Glaceon exclaimed, "It's working, Pikachu!"

The electric type nodded in assent. Not soon after, May and Ash kissed.

"Ooh!" she squealed, while Pikachu grinned.

"Finally," he stated. Cuddling up against his companion, he let out a sigh of content.

"Wasn't this perfect, Glaceon?"

"Best day ever," she responded, nuzzling his cheek.

They sat like that for eons, love filling the space around them, until finally they slept, as two lovers would.
