Usagi was decorating Mamoru's apartment as she blasted festive songs. He wasn't home yet, and she couldn't wait for him to arrive; there were lights all around the apartment, she'd put fake snow around, and, with some help, she'd managed to get a full size tree inside.

She heard the door open and sprinted to meet him - not before turning the radio off, of course. She'd purposely left the entrance untouched to shock him even more than she was sure he already would be.

When he saw her, a glimmer appeared in his eyes and his smile made a shiver run through her. This was the moment she loved the most; that moment when he spotted her and his whole figure would glow with love.

She ran straight into him, as she always did. His arms wrapped around her without hesitation, and she wished this moment would never end, just the two of them simply enjoying each other's presence. The thought of his reaction to seeing his house, though, made her pull away.

This was their second Christmas as a couple; the first time, they'd spent it with her family. This year, on the other hand, she'd convinced her parents to let her celebrate it with Mamoru - well, her mother anyway, her father just thought she was with the girls.

"Come on, Mamo-chan! I wanna show you something!"

Mamoru chuckled as she practically sprinted in the living room. He deliberately started taking off his boots, winter coat, mitts and scarf extremely slowly. When she appeared in front of him for a second time, all that was left was his scarf.

"Sorry Usako, I'm coming. Just let me put my scarf away and I'll be there in a sec-"

She grabbed the neckwear and pulled him into a kiss. He gasped in surprise and answered her, his heart hammering by the time she pulled away.

"Baka-chan, just come on," taking his hand, she led him to his living room. At least, that's what he'd been expecting. What he saw resembled a winter wonderland.

Usagi bit her bottom lip. She didn't know how to take his silence, or how to take his facial expression as he looked around, but when he said, "Wow..." she felt her heart soar, a huge grin appearing on her face.

His attention was back on her soon enough since she started blabbering, "You told me a while back that you'd never really decorated, and even though you tried to hide it, I could tell you were kinda upset by it, so after convincing Minako to help steal a tree, I knew I had to go all out! Besides, I really love you, and I wanted you to have fun, and make this Christmas awesome! Is it too much though? Now that I'm looking at it, maybe I shouldn't have put that much glitter on the floor..."

She inhaled deeply and he spoke before she kept going, "Usako… thank you, it's perfect. You are perfect."

Then he proceeded to kiss her, and they both said simultaneously as they pulled away,

"This is going to be the best Christmas ever."

Happy holidays!
