Can You Feel the Love Tonight?

"I can see what's happening." Said Fred to his identical twin brother who responded with a rather confused "What?"

"And they don't have a clue." Continued Fred as if he had not heard his sibling. To this, the second replied "Who?"

"They'll fall in love and here's the bottom line:" this time Fred looked at his brother with wide eyes, saying, "Our trio of single men is down to two." He then looked over at the two Gryffindors who had been fighting for the past hour or so. George followed his look and seemed to understand.

"The sweet caress of twilight." He said in a distinctly French accent before dodging a spark that had flown out of Ron's wand as he waved it around absentmindedly, "there's magic in the air, and with all this romantic atmosphere," he continued sarcastically, "disaster's in the air." He stated this plainly, all the sarcasm gone from his voice. The door to the living room swung open and in came Ginny who looked at the couple who were still screaming with exasperation.

"Can you feel the love tonight?" she said just as sarcastically as George had. "The peace the evening brings? The world, for once, in perfect harmony with all its living things…" she trailed off knowing that the twins knew what she was talking about… the war, Voldemort.

Later, Hermione was settling in her bed near Ginny's and one floor above, Ron was settling into his. Ron started talking once the silence between him and Harry had lasted long enough for it to become awkward.

"I have so many things to tell her, mate." He started, "But how do I make her see the truth about our past?" he let out an irritated sigh before yelling "Impossible! She'd turn away from me!"

Downstairs, Hermione and Ginny were having a similar conversation.

"He's holding back, you know." She said, "He's hiding. But what… I can't decide." In her head she added, "Why can't he be the king I know he is? The king I see inside?"

She heard Ginny start to hum the song from 'the Lion King', which Hermione had shown her, Harry and Ron one summer when it was raining. She could hear the lyrics to the song: "Can you feel the love tonight? The peace the evening brings? The world, for once, in perfect harmony, with all its living things. Can you feel the love tonight?"

Then, all of a sudden, the younger of the two sprung up on her bed and said in a booming voice, which was accompanied by large hand gestures, "You needn't look too far! Stealing through the night's uncertainties, love is where they are!" Hermione immediately rolled her eyes at the redhead before turning to face the other way and mumbling a muffled 'Night.'

At a distance, if one were to listen very, very closely, he would be able to hear the faint voices of Fred and George saying:

"And if he falls in love tonight, it can be assumed…"

"His carefree days with us are history…"

And together they looked at each other solemnly and said: "In short, our man is doomed."
