After surviving grueling tests, neurotoxin, several falls, two homicidal AIs, explosions and even exposure to Repulsion Gel, Chell was done in by thunder. GLaDOS could hardly believe it.

Chell was huddled on the couch, knees pulled up to her chest and blanket wrapped around her; she shivered lightly, full lips pressed in a thin line. She kept the television on some stupid sitcom, a bit louder than normal in an attempt to drown out the deep rumbling.

GLaDOS leaned with her arms crossed against the back of the couch, casting a disapproving frown in the direction of her former test subject. "Seriously?"

Chell looked over her shoulder, one eyebrow raised in a questioning expression.

"Of all things, you're scared of thunder?" GLaDOS scoffed. "That's pathetic, especially for you."

Chell gave a pitiful shrug, and tightened her grip on the blanket. She sat in thought for a moment, before throwing the blanket off one side slightly. She tossed her head over her shoulder again, flashing an unusually bright grin and patting the space next to her.

GLaDOS gave a heavy sigh. "If I do, will you stop acting like this?"

She nodded fervently. GLaDOS sighed again, but walked around the couch and plopped down directly next to Chell. Their legs just barely touched, and she placed her hands in her lap. "I don't see how this helps."

Chell rolled her eyes, but smiled slightly. She reached across GLaDOS and pulled the blanket over her shoulder. GLaDOS opened her mouth to complain how Chell was going to make her overheat and fry her circuits, leading to an accusation of her attempting to kill her again, but she was interrupted by Chell wrapping both her arms around the android's waist and burying her face in the crook of her neck. It was an awkward position, but she knew by now that getting Chell to move was not an option.

"Pathetic," she muttered without a trace of malice in her voice, as she wiggled her arm free and hooked it around Chell's back, pulling her a bit closer.
