Catherine was ready to scream. Her suspect was getting off on a technicality and Ecklie had just torn her a new one because of it. The most annoying part of it all wasn't the fact that she was yelled at but it was the fact that Grissom wasn't there to back her up. Catherine stomped into the break room.

"Where is he?" She demanded. Warrick swung around from the coffee maker and said:

"Sshhhh!" Then he pointed at the couch.

There lay Gil Grissom in all his… sleepiness. He was asleep on the couch all curled up, spooning with his favorite jacket.

"He's just got off his forth shift." Warrick explained. Catherine let out a huff. She couldn't believe what had just happened to her and now she couldn't even yell at the one man she normally could have blamed everything on.

You know Grissom really has a pair. Not only does he get to feed me to the dogs, but he gets to take a cat nap while he's doing it! Catherine thought. Catherine headed for the coffee maker, when she slipped in a small water spill. She gasped loudly as she began to fall. Luckily, she caught herself before any real damage could be done.

Suddenly Grissom sat up and gripped his jacket tightly.

"Gotcha hon." He said and cuddled it closer than before "I gotcha."

Warrick began to chuckle and Catherine smiled. You missed me. She thought. She had been wrong. Grissom would always have her back. He would always get her.

Later…

Sara slept in bed. But she wasn't resting easily. She jumped nearly out of her skin from the nightmare she was having.

"Gotcha hon. I gotcha." Grissom said as he sprung to grab her arm. Grissom took Sara's arm and put in by her side. He then pulled Sara closer and held her even tighter than before.

Sara thought back to the case of Kay Shelton:

"You want to sleep with me?" She asked. Grissom gave her a look a shock before answering.

"Did you just say what I think you did?" He asked in response.

"That way, when I wake up in a cold sweat, under the blanket, hearing Kay's screams, you can tell me it's nothing; it's just empathy." She answered. Then she walked away, not wanting to hear him.

Now when Sara woke up in a cold sweat, all she wanted; was to hear him. All that she wanted was his sweet breath down her neck and his strong arms around her. All she needed were his soft hands holding her wrists down, insuring she wouldn't lose her mind from all the screams. She was glad to have him near her, she just sometimes wished that he had been there from the beginning.
