It was by good luck I did not pass many people along the canal that midsummer day. The dirt track was well trodden, but it didn't stop the dust from flying up into the air. A dog had scuttled past; followed in by smiling children in rags running wildly in tow. I had also stumbled past a wealthy looking pair taking a stroll along the tidier part of the track. I couldn't help but look up at them admiringly. The woman's blue ribbon floated elegantly with her smooth hair and the sun reflected effortlessly among the mans top hat.

I suppose I should be more grateful of that day. I don't know what had urged me to walk along the outskirts of the village, of what had kept me walking past my usual boundaries.

"Good morning" slipped out of my mouth as the wealthy pair walked past me. They simply nodded and continued to gaze at the path ahead, both deep in thought as they walked. Sitting down on the grass bank I finally took in my surrounding. The sunlight had somehow managed to make the canal look beautiful, casting small sparkles of light against the still water. The trees were in full flight, creating odd shaded blotches along the track.

I had only sat in my idle state for almost ten minutes when something caught my eye. A small shaft of light reflecting right into vision. The light had come from between a gap in a large cluster of trees, coming from what looked like a half open window. Standing up I mad my way over the trees, trying to figure out a route I could take that would lead to the field that lay behind.

That's when the couple walked back my way; passing me they smiled and nodded before turning into what looked like more trees. Intrigued I followed there path to see a small gate leading through the small forest.

It was when I caught sight of the house I was taken a back. House was an understatement to the mansion that stood in front of me.

"Its Bella right?..."
