When the Eastern Command Center got some new office furniture, which was probably the only interesting thing to happen that month, Roy Mustang had come to the conclusion that swivel chairs are the greatest invention ever to be created by man.

What looked like just an ordinary chair, was actually an amazing break from paperwork, and also great for stress relief.

"Wheeeeee!"

When Riza Hawkeye walked into the room thinking she heard an odd noise, the Colonel was just sitting at his desk, a serious expression on his face, working on filling out the stack of papers that she had been nagging him about the past week.

"It's good to see you getting these out of the way, sir."

But as soon as Riza left, Roy put down his pen.

"Wheeeeee!"

The next morning saw Edward Elric walking into Mustang's office, with the intent of turning in the report of his latest completed mission.

Ed opened the door and was greeted by the sight of Roy sitting in his chair, his knees to his chest, his hands outward while waving in the air, a ridiculous grin on his face, but most of all Ed noticed that he was spinning.

"Wheeeeee!"

Ed stared blankly at the unusual scene with wide eyes and an open mouth.

"What tha...!?"

"Wheee-GAH!? FULLMETAL!?" Roy tried to stop the chair from spinning, but unfortunately he was a bit dizzy, so when he tried to grab the desk he missed.

"WHAAAHAAHHHHH...!"

Instead, he pushed a pile of papers everywhere, sprung forward, landing his face on the floor, and knocking his chair over backwards behind him.

Papers flew everywhere, and landed around Roy's fallen form.

It didn't take long at all for Ed to start sniggering at him.

Having heard crashing and Roy's panicked yell, Riza ran into the room, gun drawn, her eyes scanning for any possible threats, until she saw him on the floor covered with papers.

"Sir! Are you hurt? What happened?"

"Heh. Who knew that Colonel Roy Mustang enjoys spinning around in swivel chairs? I bet-"

"I'm fine." Roy then scooped up the papers, set them at the desk, put his chair right and sat in it, and then folded his hands in front of him like nothing happened in order to make up for lost dignity.

"We will never speak of this again, and what happened here will not leave this room. Is that clear?"

His dignity was not to be salvaged though.

A crunching noise was heard from underneath him.

Everyone stared at Roy.

"Uhm... Hey Colonel! I think you broke your chair."

WHUMP

As Riza ran to his side, Roy didn't even get up, he just lifted his open hand in the air.

"Don't say a word Fullmetal. Just hand me your damn report."

Guess what? After all these years... I actually wrote a fanfiction! Fun fact:I just realized I finished my first fanfiction, which is an FMA fanfiction, just as the clock struck midnight, making it October 3, which is FMA day. Weird huh?

I got the idea from this from when I was a little kid. I used to spin around in my dad's computer chair when no one was around. I got in trouble for breaking it...
