The calm yet invigorating stance that held so much power, was exactly what Yusuke was looking for in his new piece. His brush flowed and glided across his canvas with ease as the inspiration pouring out from Ryuji's body only flooded Yusuke's mind with more excitement.
"Yes.. Not much longer now.." Yusuke said reassuring Ryuji and his aching arms. What felt like mere minutes for Yusuke, felt like an eternity for Ryuji since he had to keep his stance and his arms held up for his pose.
"Dude.. If you don't hurry this up I think I'm gonna collapse," Ryuji said groaning. At this point he was running on fumes. He was desperately clinging to the idea that it would be a small victory for him. Still, it was enough for him to tough it out. Although, Ryuji felt more and more tired with every brush stroke Yusuke meticulously put down.
"Finally.. It's finished. Care to view my new piece I'm going to call, 'Energy'?" Yusuke said with Ryuji letting out a sigh of relief.
"Holy crap. I thought my arms were gonna break off if I didn't let them down," Ryuji sighed.
"Rest assured. If it wasn't for your arms staying attached, my new piece would not have come to be," Yusuke said with a subtle grin growing on his face. They both stopped to look at the enigmatic artwork.
Ryuji didn't have an eye for art, but he could tell there was definitely an attempt. To be quite frank, he didn't know what exactly he was looking at. The pose he held for what felt like ages was almost non-existent in Yusuke's painting. More or less the motion of lines were only vaguely resembling him. The other brush strokes revolved around the amorphous blob that represented his figure.
"Uhhm… what the heck am I looking at here?" Ryuji said scratching his head. Yusuke couldn't help but chuckle to himself upon hearing Ryuji's question.
"Perhaps you don't have a keen eye for these sorts of things," Yusuke said with his chin resting behind his curled finger. They both feasted their eyes upon the canvas. Although, one didn't have a clue what was happening in it. "Maybe instead of something so simplistic as 'Energy,' how about, 'Bold and Brash'?"
There was a slightly longer than usual pause before Ryuji spoke. "More like.. belongs in the trash."
"How preposterous! You have no right saying such things when you yourself dont have an artistic bone in your body!"
"I may not have an artistic touch, but I can tell I held that pose for nothing," Ryuji calmly replied. At this point, an argument was inevitable.
A/N- I had a late night idea. It's not a long and detailed work like I normally do, but I personally thought about this a few times.
