That's what I keep telling myself as I fall further and further into the glass bottle in my hands. As the sun slips below the horizon. As my phone goes crazy inside my belt pocket.

It doesn't matter that Donnie got tossed around like a rag doll.

It doesn't matter that Mike's head could've split open when his face slammed into the concrete.

Nothing matters except that I need to not think about anything.
