Reflections
~One Sided Puzzleshipping One-Shot~
The boy walked alone in the rain. He was depressed the same way he'd been depressed since the Ceremonial Duel, the day he lost his mou hitori no boku. Yugi missed him dearly, and life wasn't the same without him.
All the stores and markets were closed on the rainy day, it was far to late to be open now. Yugi glanced at a window and saw him. Yugi felt the tears sting at his eyes and they slowly began to descend down his face. 'Why am I so weak?'
As he kept looking at the window, more tears fell. Yugi went down on his knees. He wasn't looking at the window anymore, instead a puddle underneath him. The more he looked, the more tears fell.
Because he only saw him. Him the one who made his life possible and who gave him friends. Him the one who was the real king of games.
In his reflection, all he saw was his other self.
Yugi cursed himself as he stood up and kicked the puddle making big ripples across 'Yami's' face. More tears came and before Yugi knew it, he was letting it all out. The tears he held in for so long.
The tears for everything. The tears for his other self, the tears for the death of Grandpa, the tears for Anzu fallowing her dreams in America, his life being a lie.
Yugi wasn't the king of games, Yami was. He only made friends because of his other self. He had lost one of his closest friends to the afterlife.
And it didn't help that no one knew what he was going through, except for Ryou. But Ryou was no longer walking on this planet, he was happy in the afterlife with his other self.
Yugi couldn't stop the flow of the tears that came running down his face. Nor could he stop feeling left out of everything. 'Everybody has their own life, they don't have to do everything with you!' Yugi reminded himself.
Finally, with tears still flowing, the depressed boy walked home wishing the kiss of death to arrive upon him, so he could rejoin his other self and finally be happy...
