Bunnymund reached around his back, dragging his short claws through his fur, and groaned in defeat when he couldn't find the little itch that had been nagging him since he woke up. "Gotta find me a tree around 'ere somewhere," he mumbled as he galloped through the warren to one of the few trees that sprinkled his warm grassy home.
A familiar cool fresh scent drifted up Aster's nose and he chuckled almost immediately knowing Jack was around here somewhere. Preoccupied with his itch, Bunny didn't waste time looking for the frosty friend and focused on rubbing his back against the tree trunk. "Oi! Perfect," the Pooka sighed happily as the bark scratched the stubborn tingle.
"Don't have fleas do ya, kangaroo?" Jack smiled, hovering just above Bunny's head. The winter guardian twirled his staff between his fingers and rolled over on his back, still hanging in the air over Bunnymund's nose. "I could get tha-"
"I'm fine," Bunny sighed again as he dragged his back along the tree trunk, "just a stupid itch, and I'll 'ave ya know, I take pride in keeping myself clean, when's the last time you showered, iceblock?"
Jack smiled, "Not much use in showering when you're a frozen spirit, or guardian, whatever you wanna call me I guess," he fell to eye level with Aster and smiled, "I'm sure I can do a better job than that old plant,"
"Don't need your help, frostbite," Bunnymund waved a paw at Jack, but Jack didn't leave.
"Alright, you have forced my hand, kangaroo," Jack rolled back over and tapped his staff between the Pooka's hind paws, ice and slush forming beneath the giant rabbit.
"Wha- OOF!" Bunny's feet slipped out from under him and he fell on his back. Jack then pushed his fellow guardian over onto his stomach and began running his fingers through the long grey-blue fur.
"Where were you scratching…here?" Jack floated down and stood on Bunny's rump, crouching down to move his hands up to Bunny's shoulders then down his back listening for any sign of a yes or no, but his only response was the steady kicking of Bunny's foot as he scratched mercilessly all over the Pooka's back.
"Um…uh…little lower," Bunnymund cursed himself for not seeing Jack's trick sooner but was too lost in the pleasure of having his friend scratching his back. He groaned in bliss as Jack's fingers grazed over the spot, "THERE RIGHT THERE!" Bunny pounded the ground with a fist. "DON'T MOVE YOU'RE RIGHT ON IT!" He arched his back against Jack's fingers and shivered as the itch disappeared, slowly his leg stopped kicking and he happily huffed.
"Bunny, Jack! Tooth is looking for you!" A bellowing voice echoed through the warren, "OH! I am sorry!" North whipped around and covered his eyes as he stepped around one of the large stone-eggs. "Um, I am minding own business, don't mind me,"
Jack laughed and hopped off Bunny's butt, scratching his neck and blushing he smiled "It uh…we weren't…North, um…yea,"
Bunny scrambled to his feet, "What you think we would…Um I have eggs to get to so…thanks, Jack, for uh, and…your help…with my back! I mean. Yea. Okay,"
